When you think of Concrete as a surface for your kitchen/bath or any other area of your home. Don’t think of traditional concrete applications like your driveway or patio area. Think of unlimited possibilities. Think of creativity and custom designs. Think of natural looks with a modern twist.
Concrete surfaces can be polished to a glass like finish all the way up to a 3000 grit shine, or they can be left in their natural state, sealed and waxed for a more casual, relaxed look. Regardless of your taste and style, concrete allows you to create a feel and look entirely your own. We will work with you to create and design a functional and beautiful addition to your home. Modern concrete fabrication for interior and exterior applications has changed dramatically over the past 25 years. At Designer Concrete Counters we’ve studied under the master of Interior Concrete Design. Fu-Tung Cheng.

Decorative concrete counters might not seem like a luxury choice, until you see one. They are made from special concrete that is mixed with pigments and poured into molds. The top surface is then evened out, or screed, and troweled smooth. After the concrete hardens for several days, it will become extremely strong and can be cut down to expose special aggregates and artwork which have been imbedded within the concrete. We then wax the counter tops to prevent staining.
Whether you want to enhance the look and feel of your entire kitchen using concrete countertops or You simply want to an accent piece your choices are only limited by your imagination and our creativity. The possibilities are endless! Every design we create is a one of a kind piece. We can create: Integrated drain boards, cutting boards, soap dishes, in your custom blended choice of color, They can be smooth and sleek, or we can use aggregate or blended stone. Need something more unique? How about adding pieces of art, or perhaps a few fossils, trivets, or geodes. We live near the ocean, so maybe some sea shells?
In this photo we created a smooth white counter top, all one piece, to complement the coral stone counter top surrounding the sink, and to contrast with the custom smoked bamboo cabinets. We did this project for a great customer in Melbourne, FL.
There are 32 basic colors in our pallette and we have the ability to blend those to suit your particular taste and design. We also do acid staining to make those colors even more unique. Here is a photo of just one style of acid staining we did on a counter top for a client in Vero Beach.
